Role Overview -

We are looking for an experienced and creative Deputy General Manager – Interior Design to lead our design strategy and execution across existing and upcoming properties. This role demands a strong sense of aesthetics, attention to detail, and proven project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative design thinking and operational practicality aligned with the goSTOPS brand ethos. The role includes extensive travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead end-to-end interior design for all goSTOPS hostels including new projects, renovations, and brand upgrades.
• Develop and maintain design guidelines, ensuring consistency in look and feel across all properties while adapting to local character and constraints.
• Oversee space planning, layout finalization, color schemes, lighting, and furniture selection in line with brand identity. Manage design consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
• Collaborate closely with Project, Procurement, Branding, and Operations teams for seamless coordination.
• Conduct site visits to monitor work progress and ensure design adherence. Create mood boards, presentations, 2D layouts, and supervise 3D visualization development.
• Approve material samples, mock-ups, and prototypes to ensure desired quality.
• Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards for all design projects.
• Lead innovation in upcycling and sustainable design practices aligned with ESG goals.
