About Us

We are a U.S.-based civil construction and earthwork estimating company specializing in earthwork takeoffs, site grading, wet utilities, and site concrete for private-sector development projects. Our estimating division in India supports the U.S. operations with accurate, timely, and high-quality takeoff data using AGTEK, AutoCAD, and related tools.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Remote AGTEK / CAD Technician to prepare earthwork models, grading plans, and quantity takeoffs from civil drawings. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience with cut / fill analysis, over-excavation calculations, and surface modeling , and the ability to read and interpret civil and geotechnical plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Import and process civil drawings (PDF / DWG) into AGTEK Earthwork 4D / Gradework for grading and quantity analysis.
  • Create digital terrain models (DTMs) and perform cut / fill volume calculations including shrink / swell adjustments.
  • Prepare layered site plans in AutoCAD showing grading limits, over-excavation zones, pad caps, and utility trenching.
  • Coordinate with U.S. estimators to verify quantities, clarify plan details, and refine takeoff results.
  • Review geotechnical reports to identify soil types, PI, swell, over-excavation, and fill recommendations relevant to takeoffs.
  • Produce organized Excel summaries for volumes, materials, and import / export balances.
  • Maintain file standards, drawing templates, and consistent output quality across projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field .
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using AGTEK (Earthwork 4D or Materials 4D) and AutoCAD Civil 3D .
  • Strong understanding of grading, contour interpretation, and construction drawings (site, utility, paving, drainage).
  • Ability to read plan / profile sheets, grading plans, and detail callouts accurately.
  • Experience preparing cut / fill and over-excavation calculations for commercial or residential sites.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, volume summaries, pivot tables).
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work.
