Role Overview
The Works Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service workshop, ensuring high-quality repairs, timely vehicle delivery, customer satisfaction, and compliance with Maruti Suzuki service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Workshop Operations
- Plan, organize, and control the overall service operations.
- Allocate jobs to technicians and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure availability of required tools, equipment, and infrastructure for smooth operations.
- Quality & Productivity
- Ensure adherence to Maruti Suzuki service quality standards.
- Monitor and improve workshop productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct regular quality checks on completed jobs before delivery.
- Customer Satisfaction
- Handle escalated customer complaints and provide quick resolutions.
- Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores.
- Ensure transparent communication with customers regarding repairs and costs.
- Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and technical training sessions.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain and share daily, weekly, and monthly service performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with Maruti Suzuki policies, processes, and statutory regulations.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of Maruti Suzuki vehicles and systems.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines.Knowledge of DMS (Dealer Management System) and MS Office.Qualifications & Experience
Diploma / Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in an automobile dealership service department, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Prior Maruti Suzuki experience preferred.Skills Required
