Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement applications using ABAP RAP, covering both managed and unmanaged scenarios.
  • Create and extend CDS views with annotations and metadata extensions.
  • Develop backend logic using OOABAP, optimized for SAP HANA performance.
  • Build and expose OData v2 / v4 services for Fiori / UI5 consumption.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and frontend developers for end-to-end integration.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across RAP-based developments.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain development artifacts.

Technical Skills Required

  • Expertise in ABAP RAP (Managed & Unmanaged) – mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of CDS views, annotations, and metadata extensions.
  • Proficient in OOABAP and modern ABAP development techniques.
  • Experience with SAP HANA artifacts like CDS, AMDP.
  • Solid understanding of OData services, RESTful APIs, and service-oriented architecture.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP Fiori / UI5, and clean-core principles is a plus2.

    • Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • SAP certifications in ABAP, RAP, or HANA are highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers.
  • Experience working in agile and multicultural environments.
