Job description2–3 years of professional copy editing experience in editing books, journals, manuscripts. Strong understanding of English grammar, syntax, and editorial best practices. Practical experience in working with multiple style manuals (APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, IEEE). Clear understanding on the difference between American English and British English. Immediate availability for onboarding. Candidates with more than 5 years of experience NEED NOT APPLY . Job Description :
We are seeking a detail-oriented Copy Editor with excellent command of English and a strong grasp of editorial style conventions. The ideal candidate should be proficient in applying and distinguishing between major referencing and formatting styles, including APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, and IEEE .
Key Responsibilities :
- Edit, proofread, and refine written content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Apply appropriate style and citation guidelines based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with writers and senior editors to maintain quality and tone consistency.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines and formatting standards.
