Job Title : Business Analyst
Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with over 5 years of expertise in gathering and analyzing business requirements, documenting processes, and acting as the bridge between stakeholders and software development teams. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with hands-on experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Prior knowledge of farming / agriculture domain and mobile application projects will be a strong advantage.
Key Roles & Responsibilities :
Requirement Gathering & Analysis :
- Collect, collate, and analyze business requirements, business rules, and processes from multiple stakeholders.
- Conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and brainstorming sessions to capture detailed business needs.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement
- Documents (FRDs), Use Cases, and User Stories.
Documentation & Process Mapping :
Draft and maintain comprehensive business requirement documents with version control and traceability.Prepare process flow charts, data flow diagrams, mind maps, wireframes, and mockups to represent system workflows.Ensure alignment of business requirements with functional and technical & Stakeholder Management :Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding of requirements, processes, and applications.Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations for stakeholders and project teams.Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of solutions.Manage project communications, status updates, and stakeholder expectations effectively.Quality Assurance & Testing Support :
Prepare and review use cases and test cases to validate requirements.Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by clarifying requirements and assisting in defect triage.Ensure delivered solutions meet business needs and quality standards.Project Delivery & SDLC Involvement :
Work across all phases of the SDLC, including design, development, testing, and release of software / mobile application projects.Ensure requirements are well-documented, traceable, and signed off before moving into development and testing.Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and agile ceremonies where applicable.Domain & Technical Understanding :
Leverage knowledge of farming / agriculture domain to ensure solutions are tailored to industry-specific needs.Familiarity with mobile application development frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, Ionic and back-end technologies such as Java, Node.js, Python will be an added advantage.Provide input into technical feasibility discussions and assist in solution validation.Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in software or mobile application projects.Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban).Proficiency in documentation tools (MS Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, Confluence, or similar).Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with cross-functional teams.Domain knowledge in farming / agriculture (preferred).(ref : hirist.tech)
