About the Role :
As a Lead Software Engineer in Frontend, you will be the driving force behind our user interface. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will act as a technical pillar for the team. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy to make critical decisions that shape the future of our product's user experience. You will be expected to guide and elevate the skills of a small team of engineers through your technical expertise and mentorship, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- End-to-End Ownership : Lead the entire lifecycle of frontend development, from initial architecture and technical design through to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Strategic Development : Architect and build scalable, maintainable, and forward-looking frontend systems. Make pragmatic, long-term technical decisions that balance immediate needs with future growth.
- Technical Mentorship & Guidance : Provide dedicated technical mentorship to a small team of frontend engineers. Elevate the team's skills through exemplary code reviews, pair programming, knowledge sharing, and setting high standards for quality.
- Feature Innovation : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, bringing a proactive and solution-oriented mindset to every discussion.
- Performance & Quality : Obsess over application performance, optimizing for speed, scalability, and a world-class user experience. Establish and champion best practices for code quality and testing.
- Proactive Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve the frontend technology stack and development processes. Stay abreast of industry trends and advocate for their adoption where they can deliver strategic value.
Requirements and Qualifications :
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.4+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a proven track record of working in a fast-growing, agile environment.Demonstrated experience in leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.Deep understanding of web fundamentals, including the DOM, browser rendering, and networking.Expert-level proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) .Extensive hands-on experience with React.js and its core principles, including Hooks, Higher-Order Components (HOCs), Context API, and custom hooks .Experience with design systems is a plus.Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices for frontend deployment.Awareness of Generative AI tools and workflows – experience in building or integrating AI-powered systems, or leveraging AI (e.g., code generation, testing automation, UI / UX prototyping) to improve development efficiency is a plusTechnical Skills :
Strong proficiency in React.js ; knowledge of Next.js is a plus.Practical experience with HOCs, Render Props, Compound Components, Context API, custom hooks , and performance optimizations (e.g., memo, useCallback, useMemo).In-depth knowledge of Tailwind CSS , with additional experience in SCSS and Bootstrap.Strong working knowledge of Redux / Zustand / Recoil or other modern state management solutions.Hands-on experience with Vite, Webpack, and Babel .Proficiency in Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or similar frameworks for unit and integration testing.Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows (feature branching, pull requests, code reviews).Skilled in Core Web Vitals optimization , lazy loading, code splitting, tree-shaking, accessibility and responsive design.
