Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Workday Business Analyst & Project Manager (BA / PM) who can act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the Workday technical team—while also managing project execution, milestones, timelines, and delivery. This hybrid role requires strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder coordination, documentation skills, and hands-on project leadership. The role will support initiatives related to Workday Accounting Center, Prism Analytics, and Adaptive Planning within a banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Workday Functional Responsibilities
- Work with finance, IT, and business units to gather, document, and analyze functional and technical requirements.
- Leverage banking sector experience to align Workday capabilities with regulatory, accounting, and reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
- Provide recommendations on configuration and optimization of Workday modules.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure accurate and validated data integration across Workday and external systems.
- Assist with report creation, dashboards, and analytical insights using Adaptive, Prism, OfficeConnect, and Workday reporting tools.
- Support UAT, conduct functional validation, verify deliverables, and enhance system quality.
- Maintain expertise in Workday features and provide recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
Project Management Responsibilities
Manage Workday-related project execution end-to-end, including planning, sprint cycles, and delivery coordination.Create and maintain project documentation including :Business requirements documentsFunctional specificationsProcess flowsWireframes and UI mockupsRisk assessmentsRAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)Track and report project status regularly to leadership and stakeholders, including metrics such as :TimelinesMilestonesResource utilizationDependenciesRisks & mitigation strategiesCoordinate with cross-functional stakeholders across finance, compliance, engineering, and executive leadership.Lead status meetings, stand-ups, stakeholder briefings, and retrospective reviews.Ensure alignment across stakeholders, manage expectations, and maintain momentum toward milestones.Identify project risks, propose mitigation plans, and own escalation handling when required.Establish project documentation standards and best practices.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related field.4+ years of hands-on experience as a Workday Business Analyst, preferably in banking or financial services.2+ years of experience with project coordination or project management responsibilities (formal PM certification is a plus).Understanding of Workday Accounting Center, Prism Analytics, Adaptive Planning , and related reporting tools .Strong understanding of Workday HCM and its applications in a business contextExperience working closely with Workday technical teams on data integrations and system enhancementsProficient in building or supporting Workday reports and using OfficeConnect for financial reportingAbility to produce professional documentation : BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process maps, wireframes, mockups, etc.Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, process walk-throughs, and requirements sessions.Strong presentation skills and experience giving leadership-level status updates.Proven ability to handle multiple workstreams, manage priorities, and deliver in a dynamic environment.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, organizational, and documentation skills.Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and structured planning abilities.Nice to Have
Workday certifications in Financials, Adaptive Planning, or Reporting.Experience in Workday implementation or transformation projects.Familiarity with SQL for data validation and reconciliation.Experience with Agile / Scrum project methodology.Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, Monday.com, etc.)
