Role Overview
The Senior MEP Engineer will lead the design, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across Micromitti's sustainable infrastructure and green building projects. This role demands a balance of technical depth , on-ground execution experience , and a sustainability mindset — ensuring that all MEP services are efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible.
You'll collaborate with civil, architecture, and environmental teams to deliver integrated solutions that minimize energy and water footprints while optimizing system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of all MEP systems — HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and water management.
- Review and approve design drawings, load calculations, and system layouts to ensure compliance with codes and project sustainability goals.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and environmental teams for integrated design solutions.
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, technical specifications, and material submittals.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems at project sites.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, energy codes, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct vendor and subcontractor evaluations and manage MEP contractors for quality and timelines.
- Implement energy-efficient and water-saving technologies such as solar systems, rainwater reuse, and low-energy HVAC solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation, project reports, and handover records.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical / electrical engineering or related field.8–12 years of experience in MEP design and execution for infrastructure, green building, or industrial projects.Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and firefighting systems.Familiarity with AutoCAD MEP / Revit / BIM tools.Understanding of MEP codes, IS standards, NBC, and green building guidelines (LEED, IGBC, GRIHA).Excellent coordination, analytical, and documentation skills.Experience managing vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.Skills Required
