We solve complex payment problems for hundreds of clients in a range of industries, including Travel, Lending, Wage Advance, and Investment & Wealth.

In the UK, we are direct participants of Faster Payments and Bacs.

Modulr hold settlement accounts at the Bank of England.

Our payment network connectivity includes CHAPS, Open Banking, SEPA, SWIFT and account issuance in multiple currencies.

We are principal issuing members of Visa and Mastercard schemes across UK and Europe.

Our regulatory permissions and governance structure are the foundations of our business.

We are regulated and supervised as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution (AEMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank.

The team

You will work closely with the Financial Control team based mainly in Edinburgh.

The wider business teams are based in Edinburgh, Amsterdam, and Finance & Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing Modulr's Indian entity's financial health and regulatory compliance.

This role combines ownership of financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, process improvement, and proactive analysis to support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and have a strong grasp of Indian regulatory and financial frameworks.

Specific duties

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Lead and support the monthly financial close process for the India entity.
• Prepare individual entity and group consolidated monthly management accounts.
• Drive continuous improvement in the month-end close to reduce turnaround time and enhance accuracy.
• Conduct variance analysis between actuals and budgets, identifying anomalies, trends, and potential mispostings.
• Prepare internal month-end deliverables, including management accounts and board packs with meaningful commentary.
