Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular, meticulous fit sessions for all brand merchandise (e.g., prototypes, sales samples, pre-production samples) along with our Store, Service & Factory employee uniforms, identifying all fit, construction, and garment balance issues
- Clearly articulate fit comments, pattern corrections, and construction changes to the Design team and external vendors
- Ensure consistent fit and sizing across different styles and product categories, maintaining a cohesive brand size standard
- Implement and oversee quality control checks throughout the product development and production lifecycle to ensure adherence to brand specifications
- Verify garment measurements against technical specifications and size charts, recommending necessary grading adjustments
- Develop accurate base patterns for new concepts provided by the Design team, translating flat sketches into technically viable patterns
- Analyze and suggest precise rectifications for patterns, construction, and fit to achieve perfect drape, comfort, and silhouette as intended by the designer or feedback provided during trial sessions
- Work closely with pattern makers at the factories / Vendors to refine patterns until the fit is approved for production
- Create and maintain detailed Specification & Measurement Sheets - Indicating standardized measurement for fit and styling across multiple product categories
- Proactively gather, analyze, and synthesize customer & employee feedback related to garment fit, quality, and construction from various channels (e.g., returns data, customer service reports)
- Create and maintain a comprehensive Quality Review Checklist - Based on key technical parameters and recurring customer feedback points to improve future product development cycles. This includes a distinguished list of parameters for Brand merchandise & Uniforms based on the usage and lifestyle of the end user
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Fit Technician, Garment Technician, or Technical Designer, ideally within a fast-moving brand or startup environment
- Diploma or Degree in Fashion / Garment Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, Pattern Making, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, pattern making (manual and/or CAD), grading, and textile properties
- Proven ability to diagnose fit issues and develop practical, production-feasible technical solutions
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in an environment that requires flexibility, proactivity, and efficiency
