Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in manual testing. The ideal candidate is passionate about ensuring product quality, enjoys writing thorough test cases, and is eager to experiment with automation tools to improve QA efficiency. You’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams in a fast-paced startup environment to deliver high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing

Perform functional, regression, smoke, UI / UX, and exploratory testing across web and mobile applications.
Identify, document, and track bugs using standardised issue-tracking tools.

Test Case Authoring & Execution

Write clear, comprehensive, and reusable test cases and test plans.

Maintain and update test scenarios as product features evolve.

Ensure full coverage across user flows, edge cases, and platform variations.

Release Readiness

Participate in release cycles by validating builds, retesting fixes, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Prepare and document release notes with clarity and accuracy.

Automation Curiosity & Experimentation

Independently explore and experiment with testing automation tools and frameworks.

Contribute ideas on how automation can be introduced or improved in existing processes.

Startup Collaboration & Agility

Work closely with developers and product managers in a collaborative, fast-iteration environment.

Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, new feature launches, and rapid development cycles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

2–3 years of experience in QA testing for mobile or web applications.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies and defect life cycle.

Experience writing structured test cases and test documentation.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid releases.

Good communication skills for articulating bugs, risks, and release notes.

Self-driven mindset with a willingness to explore automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).

Nice-to-Have

Exposure to automation frameworks (even at experimentation level).

Experience testing mobile applications (iOS / Android).

Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman).

Familiarity with agile processes and sprint-based QA cycles.
