Job Summary (EMS Engineer) : EmS Engineer

• Install configure and maintain EMS / PATS solutions in Data Centers and Disaster Recovery (DR) sites.
• Responsible for overall management monitoring and maintenance using EMS / NMS or other network monitoring systems.
• Provide regular and ad-hoc data reports and trend analysis to IT and other departments (daily weekly monthly or as needed).
• Ensure continuous monitoring and prompt reporting of all assets and services.
• Manage the help desk team and evaluate their performance.
• Add and delete Data Center assets in the EMS tool as required.
• Incorporate third-party MIBs (e.g. packet brokers) into EMS.
• Coordinate with internal teams and handle escalations to ensure swift issue resolution and minimal customer downtime.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and processes for Data Center operations with a focus on FCAPS functionalities.
• Develop maintain and enhance a knowledge base system to support first-time fault resolution.
• Stay updated with industry knowledge and skills relevant to EMS operations.
• OEM payroll requirement for EMS Engineers at each Data Center during project implementation (not compulsory for existing EMS in old DC / DR).
