Role Overview :
The Sr. Manager plays a pivotal role in leading delivery teams, ensuring high-quality execution of client projects, maintaining compliance with global legal standards, and nurturing client relationships. This role demands a strong foundation in legal concepts, managerial skills, attention to detail, and a service-driven mindset to meet the evolving demands of international legal clients.
Key Responsibilities :
Delivery and Project Management :
Manage and supervise the end-to-end delivery of legal support services across verticals such as :
- Litigation Support Services preferably in US litigation with focus on personal injury, employment law and Lemon law
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
- Document Review (Litigation, Regulatory, Internal Investigations)
- Legal Research and Drafting
- Compliance and Risk Advisory
- Entity Management and Corporate Governance
- To maintain quality deliverables by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client expectations and legal standards.
- Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Address and resolve delivery-related issues and client escalations in a proactive manner.
Client Relationship Management :
Serve as a key point of contact for assigned clients; maintain regular communication to understand evolving needs, provide updates, and ensure alignmentParticipate in client calls, review meetings, and feedback sessionsSupport client on boarding, process transition, and documentation activitiesPeople and Performance Management :
Lead, mentor, and coach a team of legal analysts, associates, and senior associatesMonitor team performance, identify training needs, and implement performance improvement strategiesConduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions, upskilling initiatives, and career development support for team membersQuality, Compliance & Reporting :
Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, SLAs, legal best practices, and data confidentiality protocolsImplement robust quality control mechanisms and conduct regular audits of work outputsGenerate and present project dashboards, status reports, and operational metrics to internal and external stakeholdersOperational and Strategic Initiatives :
Assist the AVP / Delivery Head in strategic planning, process optimization, and resource managementCollaborate with business development teams on proposals, RFPs, client presentations, and proof-of-concept projectsSupport the implementation of legal tech tools and process automation initiativesQualifications & Experience :
Educational Background : LL.B. (mandatory) from a recognized law school; LL.M in Business laws preferredExperience : 10+ years in legal services with 10+ years in a supervisory or client-facing role in an LPO or corporate legal setupExposure to U.S., U.K., or other common law jurisdictions is highly desirable.Demonstrated expertise in contract analysis, litigation support, and legal compliance domainsKey Skills & Competencies :
Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and interpretation skillsStrong command of legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)Familiarity with contract management platforms (e.g., Icertis, ContractWorks, DocuSign CLM), review tools (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw) and case management softwares like ActionStep, Clio, Practice Panther etc.,Exceptional written and verbal communication and ability to interact with global clientsProven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.High standards of professional ethics, confidentiality, and integrity(ref : iimjobs.com)
