Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze tender documents like technical specs, drawings, BOQ, and scope of work.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontracting, and overheads.
- Work with design, engineering, and sales teams to gather technical info for costing.
- Send inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors to get competitive quotes.
- Prepare clear comparison statements of the quotes received.
- Help prepare and submit complete and competitive tender proposals on time.
- Working parallelly on multiple BOQs.
- Evaluate vendor offers and negotiate the best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Meeting with tendering authority and attending pre bid meetings.
- Raising technical queries, site visits for technical understandings.
- Taking approval for final cost workings.
Qualifications and Experience
Education : Bachelor s Degree (B.E. / B. Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering .Experience : A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in cost estimation for tenders and private client proposals, site installation, and procurement experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or construction company.Good knowledge of Electromechanical Supplies and installations ( HVAC, STP, WTP, Boilers, Lifts, water pumps, fire pumps, solar panels etc. )Skills Required
