NSS Programme Officer

RV University is a State Private University which has been established in Karnataka State with RSST as the sponsoring body through Act No.11 of 2019, passed by the Karnataka Legislature.

Established by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), which has over eight decades of experience in higher education system .

Job Title : NSS Programme Officer, RV University

Location : RV University, Bengaluru, India

Employment Type : Full-Time.

Key Responsibilities

Formulate annual and semester-wise NSS activity plans in accordance with NSS policies and Organize regular and special camps, awareness programmes, and outreach activities in collaboration with community partners to address social issues such as health, education, environment, women empowerment, and such others

Enroll, guide, and motivate student volunteers for NSS activities and Maintain records of volunteer participation and Mentor volunteers for leadership roles and participation in state / national level programmes.

Liaise with local government bodies, NGOs, and community organizations for collaborative programmes.

Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and proper utilization of NSS grants as per NSS guidelines and Submit periodic reports (monthly, half-yearly, and annual)

Attend orientation and refresher courses for NSS Programme Officers conducted by Empaneled Training Institutions and Organize training and awareness sessions for volunteers on various social, cultural, and environmental issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification : Postgraduate / Graduate degree from a recognized institution.

Experience : Prior involvement in NSS, NCC, or community service programmes preferred.
