Sony Pictures Networks India is seeking a Assistant Manager Youtube Monetization to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing YouTube channels across SPNI’s network, optimizing content strategy and operations, and leveraging analytics to drive growth, engagement, and revenue. The role requires strong analytical skills, deep understanding of YouTube CMS and performance metrics, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Education : Master's degree

Experience : 4-5 years of experience in content operations, YouTube channel management and data analytics

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct research on content performance across YouTube and other digital platforms to identify content trends and opportunities.
  • Formulate the annual YouTube strategy and content roadmap backed by data-driven insights.
  • Provide strategic content inputs to the business team to drive channel growth and engagement.
  • Audit existing channels to uncover short- and long-term recommendations for improving audience engagement and key performance metrics.

2. Content Operations

  • Manage content release schedules on YouTube in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain master content MIS for all shows across network channels.
  • Optimize metadata elements such as titles, tags, descriptions, playlists, thumbnails, and homepage layouts for enhanced discoverability.
  • Ensure timely uploads with accurate metadata across all SPNI channels.
  • Collaborate with programming, operations, legal, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of YouTube operations.
  • Develop creative engagement strategies to foster continuous audience and community interaction.
  • 3. Business Growth & Insights

  • Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and subscriber growth through data-led insights.
  • Analyze content health and recommend improvements to enhance channel performance.
  • Utilize SEO / SMM tools and learnings to grow channels organically.
  • Conceptualize and repackage archival content aligned with evolving viewer trends.
  • 4. Reporting & Analytics

  • Maintain and update daily and weekly reports including CMS data, channel performance, show-wise metrics, partner payouts, and dashboards.
  • Track audience retention metrics (e.G., average view duration, % completion, watch time) to guide strategy.
  • Present actionable insights and trends to business stakeholders for decision-making.
  • Skills & Experience

  • 4–5 years of experience in content operations and YouTube channel management.
  • Strong command of YouTube CMS and YouTube / Google Analytics.
  • Proven ability to implement in-video programming mechanisms (link cards, end screens, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of audience retention and engagement metrics.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities with proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, dashboards).
  • Knowledge of Python programming preferred.
  • Familiarity with content across entertainment, kids, regional, and sports verticals.
  • Prior experience in the Media & Entertainment (M&E) sector is desirable.
