Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced US Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA or CPA with a strong background in accounting, ideally within a consulting firm. They must have hands-on experience working with US-listed clients and possess the ability to handle end-to-end accounting processes. The role requires a candidate with proven expertise in using Blackline and other commonly used accounting software. The position also demands exceptional client-facing skills and a readiness to take ownership of all accounting activities from start to finish.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Education : Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Experience : 7+ years of post-qualification experience, with significant exposure to accounting operations, ideally gained within an accounting consulting firm.
- Software Experience : Proficiency in Blackline software is mandatory . Familiarity with other commonly used accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus.
- Industry Experience : Must have worked with US-listed clients and be familiar with their specific financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Client-Facing Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage with clients and manage relationships effectively.
- End-to-End Accounting Knowledge : Strong understanding of all aspects of the accounting cycle, from journal entries to financial reporting.
- Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting standards as they apply to US-listed companies.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead end-to-end accounting processes for US-based listed clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and other regulatory requirements.Manage client relationships, providing high-quality advisory and consulting services to senior client stakeholders.Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Assist in financial audits, coordinating with internal and external auditors, and ensuring smooth audit processes.Drive process improvements in accounting practices, leveraging technology and automation tools.Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring their professional growth and development.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for US clients, ensuring adherence to deadlines.Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes using Blackline software.Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.Provide insights and recommendations for financial strategies and improvements to clients.
