Role Overview
We’re looking for a dedicated and dynamic Social Science teacher to guide students of Grades 6 to 8 through History, Geography, Civics, and related interdisciplinary themes. The ideal candidate combines strong subject knowledge with interactive teaching methods, making learning meaningful, engaging, and relevant to real life.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science curriculum for Grades 6–8 as per CBSE guidelines.
- Plan and deliver well-structured, creative, and student-focused lessons.
- Use a mix of interactive tools — discussions, case studies, role plays, maps, timelines, and graphic organizers — to enhance understanding.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
- Track student progress through formative and summative assessments;
maintain accurate records.
Support students in developing analytical thinking, map skills, and conceptual clarity.Maintain discipline, encourage English communication, and build a positive classroom culture.Collaborate with coordinators for academic planning, question paper setting, and exam evaluations.Participate actively in school events, assemblies, competitions, and enrichment programs.Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic performance and behavioural updates.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or Social Sciences.B.Ed. is mandatory.Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in CBSE schools (preferred).Strong command over English (spoken and written).Ability to integrate technology (audio-visual tools, smartboards, digital content) during lessons.Passion for teaching young learners with patience, enthusiasm, and creativity.Additional Expectations
Should be proactive and able to manage discipline in middle school.Comfortable with experiential learning, discussions, and activity-based classes.Should participate in trainings, stayback sessions, and collaborative planning.Willingness to support school initiatives like events, competitions, clubs, and field trips.
