Job description

We are seeking a seasoned cloud expert to spearhead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, automated cloud environments on Amazon Web Services.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess infrastructure engineering expertise combined with DevOps practices to support application deployment performance and availability.

AWS Cloud Engineering

Design and implement secure, scalable AWS infrastructure solutions (VPC EC2 S3 IAM CloudFront RDS Lambda AWS Backup AWS System Manager etc.)
Lead AWS cloud migration and modernization initiatives, leveraging lift and shift migration tools on AWS Application Discovery Service ADS AWS MGN Application Migration Service and AWS DMS Database Migration Service
Implement cloud-native patterns using services such as ECS EKS and Fargate, ensuring security, cost optimization and governance across AWS accounts

DevOps Engineering

Design CI / CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline CodeBuild CodeDeploy or third-party tools e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins, focusing on automation and efficiency

Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform AWS CloudFormation or CDK, promoting consistency and scalability

Setup monitoring alerting and observability using CloudWatch AWS X-Ray and third-party tools, enhancing visibility and response times

Collaborate with development teams to automate deployments and improve release velocity, driving business outcomes

Ensure high availability disaster recovery and performance tuning, minimizing downtime and maximizing system uptime
