Job Description – Proposal Engineer for one of our clients based in Hadapsar, Pune

Position Title : Proposal Engineer

Preference to Candidates based in Pune and immediate joiners

Location : Pune (Head Office)

Job Purpose :

To prepare and submit technically sound and commercially competitive proposals for engineering projects by coordinating with design, procurement, and project teams, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities :

Study tender documents, specifications, drawings, and BOQs to understand client requirements.

Prepare technical and commercial offers in coordination with design, estimation, and procurement teams.

Perform cost estimation for equipment, structures, and systems based on inputs from various departments.

Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotations and technical clarifications.

Prepare techno-commercial bid documents and ensure timely submission.

Participate in pre-bid and post-bid discussions with clients or consultants.

Support sales and project teams during negotiation and order finalization.

Maintain proposal records, costing sheets, and comparison reports.

Qualification & Experience :

Education : B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemcial

Experience : 2–6 years in proposal / estimation of industrial projects (EPC, Process Equipment, Material Handling, Environmental Systems, etc.)

Software Skills : MS Excel (Advanced), AutoCAD, ERP (optional)

Skills Required :

Strong understanding of project costing and estimation

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Good communication and presentation skills

Proficiency in Excel and data handling

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Coordination and time management abilities
