Database Administrator - SQL Server

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, Configure, and Maintain : Set up and maintain SQL Server instances (on-premises and / or cloud).
• Monitor and Optimize : Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply patches / versions when required.
• Database Backups and Recovery : Perform database backups , restores, and recovery.
• Security Management : Manage SQL Server security (authentication, permissions, roles).
• Query and Index Optimization : Optimize SQL queries and indexes for better performance.
• Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot database-related issues, including system outages and performance bottlenecks.
• High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) : Implement HA and DR solutions for SQL Server.
• Task Automation : Automate repetitive DBA tasks using T-SQL , PowerShell , or other tools.
• Capacity Planning : Perform capacity planning and storage management .
• Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) .
• Collaboration : Work with development and support teams on database-related issues and projects.
