We’re Hiring! Research And Development Engineer @ HOF Furniture Systems – Sindhubhavan

Location : Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Department : Research & Development (R&D)

Experience : 5+ years

Employment Type : Full-time

✨ What you’ll do :

  • Lead the research, design, and development of new modular furniture products and components.
  • Conduct reverse engineering to improve product design, performance, and manufacturability.
  • Create 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD (mandatory) and ZWCAD / Pytha (preferred).
  • Perform simulation and analysis for structural strength and material behavior.
  • Select and evaluate materials such as steel, aluminum, and modular furniture components.
  • Collaborate with production, purchase, quality, and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain technical drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
  • Oversee prototype development and testing to ensure quality standards.
  • Research and implement new technologies and manufacturing methods for continuous innovation.

✨ What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product design or R&D (preferably in modular furniture).
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with ZWCAD / Pytha is an advantage.
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Team player with excellent communication and coordination abilities.
