Job Title : Software Engineer - Full Stack Development

Location : Bangalore

Reporting to : Senior Manager - Software Engineering

1) Purpose of the role

The Global Gen AI Team at Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) is looking for talented full stack developers to help build and maintain our Gen AI-powered applications. You will work on developing web and mobile applications that leverage our enterprise data assets to provide valuable insights to our business users. As a Full Stack Developer, you will collaborate with senior team members to implement AI-powered features across the full technology stack, focusing on clean, maintainable code, performant systems, and seamless user experiences.

2) Key tasks & accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and performant web applications using modern frontend frameworks (React.js / Next.js).
  • Build and consume RESTful & Graph QL APIs, integrating them seamlessly with the UI.
  • Write clean, maintainable backend services (Node.js / Python) with efficient database interactions (PostgreSQL / MongoDB).
  • Apply best practices for code organization, testing, and version control (Git).
  • Implement caching strategies, API optimization, and frontend performance improvements to support high-traffic use cases.
  • Work with CI / CD pipelines and basic cloud deployment (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Collaborate with AI, QA DevOps teams for end-to-end feature development and deployment.
  • Participate in code reviews, sharing feedback and learning from peers.

3) Qualifications, Experience, Skills

Level of educational attainment required

  • Academic degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 3-5 years of hands-on development experience building web applications.

    • Previous work experience

  • 3 – 5years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer

    • Technical Skills required

  • 2–4 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with React.js (hooks, state management, routing) and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, SCSS).
  • Experience in backend development with Node.js (Express / Nest.js) or Python (Fast API).
  • Familiarity with relational & NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of frontend performance tuning (lazy loading, code splitting, prefetching).
  • Understanding of API design principles and authentication (JWT, OAuth).
  • Basic experience with cloud hosting, containerization (Docker), and CI / CD.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Other Skills required

  • Experience with real-time communication (Web Sockets, Socket.IO).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, or Lighthouse for frontend).
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).
