Assistant Manager - Application Engineering & Services
About the role
- To manage & provide necessary technical support to Application Engineering, Services related to Steam Engineering Products & Solutions.
- To manage Application Engineering function day to day deliverables
- To manage Services function day to day deliverables
- To ensure product design regulatory & compliance requirements.
- Expertise in design standards such as ASME, IBR, PED and adherence project deliverables.
- Recruitment of engineers, training planning, budget estimation and functional growth plans deployments.
- Prepare IBR design documentation, liaise with IBR authorities in getting IBR design approvals & maintain design & project records.
- Managing technical design team, review product design, development & provide guidance in resolving the technical issues.
- Exposure to Solidworks & CREO CAD tools in review of detailed design drawings & documents like 2D / 3D CAD models.
- Review of specifications, P&ID, Detailed design drawings, BOM, Cost estimation and support with techno commercial proposals to sales engineers.
- New products & package solutions development and coordination with central functions.
- Technical documentation preparation and maintaining records.
- Supplier coordination related to pacakge solutions.
- Driving cost reduction projects and package solutions standardisations.
- Exposure to ISO certifications, manage audits and adherence as applicable.
- Exposure to PDM, PLM, CRM & ERP systems and softwares and adherence as applicable.
- Engineering Software licenses subscriptions, IBR dossier rate contract & payment management.
- On time release of error free Manufacturing drawings / documents to Operations.
- Address Customer / Sales team technical queries & provide guidance. Join customer visits when required. (Site visits / Commissioning / Failure analysis)
- Actively involve in cost optimization projects and continuous improvement projects.
- Managing Service team and provide day to day technical support, guidance and coordination with Sales Team / Quality team / Customers.
- Site visits / conduct Failure analysis and prepare recommendations with optimum solutions.
- Manage Steam Training Programs, organise and conduct Customer trainings to generate revenue.
About you
Graduate level (Engineering degree / Diploma in Technical education)Knowledge of Steam engineering experience preferredHave a positive empathetic and solution mindsetAnalytical & problem solving skillsFamiliarization of Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR), ASME & other international design standardsTeam workingIndependent & StretchingNeed to travel whenever requiredExposure to Solidworks CAD, ERP, ISO processes, PDM, PLM software.Strong Computer skills viz., MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, ERP etc,.Capacity to work closely with Spirax-Sarco Global Teams.The Steam Thermal Solutions business is one of three businesses within Spirax Group.
