Senior Healthcare AI Engineer

We are seeking a Healthcare AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions across clinical, operational, and experience-management use cases. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare workflows, data engineering, machine learning, and responsible AI, with a strong emphasis on real-world impact, compliance, and scalability.

You will work closely with healthcare stakeholders, product teams, and integration partners to turn complex healthcare data into intelligent systems that improve outcomes, efficiency, and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Machine Learning

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for healthcare use cases such as:
• Clinical decision support
• Patient experience & sentiment analysis
• Revenue cycle & claims intelligence
• Operational optimization & forecasting
• Build and maintain LLM-powered applications (RAG, agents, copilots) for healthcare workflows
• Evaluate model performance, bias, drift, and reliability in regulated environments

Data Engineering & Integration

• Work with structured and unstructured healthcare data (EHR, claims, surveys, notes, tickets)
• Build pipelines using modern data stacks (APIs, ETL/ELT, streaming)
• Integrate AI solutions with healthcare systems such as:
• EHR/EMR (Epic, Cerner, Athena, etc.)
• ERP / Financial systems
• Experience platforms (Qualtrics, surveys, feedback tools)

Healthcare Compliance & Responsible AI

• Design AI solutions aligned with HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, and healthcare privacy standards
• Implement data governance, access controls, and auditability
• Ensure ethical AI practices: explainability, transparency, and human-in-the-loop workflows

Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner with clinicians, operations, IT, and leadership teams to translate needs into AI solutions
• Support pilots, POCs, and enterprise rollouts
• Document architectures, models, and decision logic for technical and non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Python (required)
• Hands-on experience with:
• Machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
• LLMs and AI orchestration (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, LangChain, etc.)
• Vector databases & retrieval systems (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate)
• Experience building APIs and microservices
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Healthcare & Domain Experience

• 7+ years of experience working with healthcare data or healthcare systems
• Understanding of healthcare workflows (clinical, financial, operational, or experience)
• Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) is a strong plus
