Role Description

This is a full-time, remote for a Founding Engineer located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Founding Engineer will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure, systems, and software of Vectorial AI. Responsibilities include developing scalable systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define solutions, managing technical challenges, and ensuring the reliability and performance of all deployed systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating production cloud systems (serverless + containers) with real ownership of reliability, security, and cost.
• Have deployed AI models to production
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, LLMs, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science fundamentals
• Deep Understanding and experience of Vector Databases at Scale
• Have familarity with ReactJS and AI tools to iterate on front-end
• Experience with Cloud Computing, Infrastructure Management, and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with Agile Development and Start-up Environment Workflows
• Comfortable shipping in Python, TypeScript, and Java ; you value typed contracts and clean interfaces to the frontend.
• Bachelor’s / Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees preferred
