About the Role We at Aldecor are looking for a proactive Electrical Design Engineer with approximately 5 years of experience to design, develop and implement electrical systems in our building / services / interior fit-out environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that electrical designs are compliant, cost-effective, robust, and delivered in sync with project timelines, budgets and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities Design & Development

Develop detailed electrical schematics, layout drawings, wiring diagrams and cable schedules using CAD / design tools.

Select appropriate electrical components and materials based on performance, cost and code compliance.

Conduct load calculations, circuit protection sizing, and system simulations as applicable.

Project Execution & Coordination

Work closely with project managers, mechanical / interior / MEP teams and contractors to ensure electrical designs integrate seamlessly.

Participate in site visits, design review meetings, and coordinate revisions / clarifications with stakeholders.

Quality, Standards & Compliance

Ensure designs comply with Indian / regional electrical codes, safety standards and best practices.

Review material submittals, shop drawings and supervise quality in implementation.

Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting

Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), revision drawings, change logs, and design documentation.

Track design deliverables against baselines, identify risks (design conflicts, material delays), and implement corrective measures.

Vendor & Subcontractor Interface

Specify electrical vendors / sub-contractors, assess their deliverables, verify conformity with design specs.

Coordinate delivery of materials, ensure proper technical specification, and resolve any vendor / subcontractor issues.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

Identify design / execution risks early (e.g., load oversizing, insufficient cable routing, project interface conflicts) and propose mitigations.

Review completed designs, gather lessons learned, contribute to process improvements and design standards documentation.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Around 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering (ideally in building services / interiors / fit-out / MEP / construction environment).

Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, BOMs, CAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN etc), load calculations, wiring / cable routing.

Strong coordination and communication skills, ability to work across teams (architects / interior / MEP / vendors).

Detail-oriented with good time management, ability to manage multiple design deliverables and stakes.
