About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to manage, maintain, and support the physical and virtual infrastructure of our data center environment.
The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, optimal performance, and security of data center resources, while collaborating closely with network, systems, and security teams.
You will be responsible for hardware and software deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management in a fast-paced, mission-critical Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain data center hardware including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and peripherals.
- Manage and monitor data center infrastructure to ensure uptime, availability, and performance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and manage hardware lifecycle including upgrades and replacements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues impacting data center operations.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, installation, and repairs.
- Maintain and improve data center infrastructure documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Manage physical security controls and access to data center facilities.
- Support virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce security policies and compliance requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident response.
- Assist with capacity planning, asset management, and infrastructure scaling.
- Monitor environmental conditions (power, cooling, humidity) and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Support automation and orchestration efforts for provisioning and managing data center Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 37 years of experience managing data center environments.
- Hands-on experience with servers (Dell, HP, Cisco UCS, etc.), SAN / NAS storage, and networking hardware.
- Strong knowledge of TCP / IP networking, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with data center monitoring tools and infrastructure management software.
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of power and cooling systems in data centers.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency incidents
