the Role :
We are looking for a driven and strategic Ad Sales Manager to lead revenue generation through media sales and advertising partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in media ad sales, client acquisition, and agency relationship management.
This role involves selling advertising solutions across digital, print, broadcast, or OTT platforms by identifying potential clients, crafting tailored solutions, and achieving revenue targets.
The Ad Sales Manager will work closely with marketing, content, and operations teams to deliver impactful advertising campaigns that align with client objectives and brand goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive revenue growth through direct ad sales and agency partnerships across assigned territories or sectors.
- Identify, pitch, and acquire new clients and brands for advertising opportunities across digital, broadcast, or print platforms.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and media plans to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media agencies, brands, and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create customized advertising proposals, sponsorships, and brand integrations.
- Work with the marketing and content teams to identify inventory, ad formats, and campaign opportunities.
- Manage negotiations, pricing, contracts, and client servicing for all advertising deals.
- Track and analyze campaign performance to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging advertising technologies.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for senior management.
Required Skills & Expertise :
5-10 years of experience in ad sales, media sales, or business development in media, OTT, or digital platforms.Strong network and relationships with media agencies, advertisers, and brand marketing teams.Proven ability to sell advertising inventory and close large deals.Excellent understanding of advertising formats - display, video, branded content, sponsorships, and programmatic.Hands-on experience in pitching, negotiations, and deal structuring.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting platforms(ref : iimjobs.com)
