Are you passionate about automotive design and engineering excellence? We’re looking for a BIW Bonnet Design Lead to join our dynamic team and drive innovation in vehicle architecture!

🔧 Role : BIW Bonnet Design Lead

📍 Location : Pune

🛠️ Experience : 4 to 10 Years

Notice Period : Immediate Joiner

Key Responsibilities :

Lead end-to-end bonnet (hood) design within BIW architecture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CAE, manufacturing, and styling
Drive concept development, feasibility studies, and DFMEA
Ensure design meets all safety, regulatory, and performance targets
Mentor junior engineers and guide design reviews

Job description :

Experience in Hood / Bonnet Design & Development at Automobile OEM around 4 to 8 years of experience.

Develop and refine 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for hood outer panels, inner reinforcements, hinges, latches, and strikers

Ensure compliance with pedestrian protection regulations and front crash safety standards .

Collaborate with teams in BIW, sealing, latching, thermal management, and styling to ensure proper integration

Strong knowledge of tooling feasibility, material selection (steel, aluminum, composites), and manufacturing processes .

Candidate should be experienced in Catia and PLM software’s like Team center.

Sound knowledge of engineering and system documents like DFMEA, DVP, DFA etc.

Good technical knowledge of automotive Sheet metal parts, manufacturing and assembly -process.

Should be able to prepare & deliver presentations of the concepts / master section.

Should be able to do tolerance stack up & GD&T added advantage.

Hand on experience in Part development / supplier interaction added advantage.

Educational Qualifications :

B.E (Mechanical / Automobile) with 4-8 Years of experience.

What We’re Looking For :

Proven experience in BIW bonnet or closure system design

Strong knowledge of sheet metal, GD&T, packaging, and tooling constraints

Proficiency in CAD tools (Catia V5 / V6, NX, etc.)

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
