Linux Server Lead Administrator

We are seeking a Linux Server Lead Administrator to manage and administer Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. You will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of administrators, overseeing server installation and configuration, and developing patch management strategies. This role requires strong expertise in Linux server operating systems, proficiency in virtualization technologies, and a proven ability to lead a team.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Linux Server Management : Lead the management and administration of Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor a team of Linux server administrators, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
• Server Maintenance : Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux server hardware and software.
• Security & Compliance : Implement and maintain security measures and policies to protect server environments and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
• Patch Management : Develop and implement patch management strategies to keep servers updated with security patches.
• Performance Optimization : Continuously monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues proactively.
• Backup & Recovery : Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Automation : Utilize scripting and automation tools ( Bash, Ansible, Python ) to streamline server management and improve efficiency.
• Capacity Planning : Assess future infrastructure needs and make recommendations for scaling server resources.
• Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures, and policies.
