About Trackzio

Trackzio is a 1-year-old, AI-first startup building mobile apps that improve productivity, health, and personal hobbies. With a lean team of 9, we ship delightful, data-driven products—from habit trackers and child-care tools to hobbyist utilities for coin collectors, gardeners, and more.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Node.js Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the backend infrastructure powering our apps. You’ll own services end-to-end, collaborate closely with the founder / designers, and help shape our technical direction.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement high-quality backend architecture and microservices
  • Build secure, well-documented APIs and data models
  • Set up and manage cloud infrastructure (servers, EC2, S3, networking, CI / CD)
  • Create AI workflows (image-based identification, AI chat) with production pipelines
  • Choose the tech stack and lead key architectural decisions
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and cost; monitor and debug in production
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product requirements into technical specs
  • Deploy on AWS / GCP and manage cloud resources effectively
  • Contribute to hiring and team building

Requirements

  • 3+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on Node.js with production systems
  • Solid with cloud & DevOps : AWS (EC2, S3, IAM), basic networking, observability
  • Proficient with databases (MongoDB or relational) and schema / design trade-offs
  • Familiar with service design principles, APIs, and mobile-app backends
  • Strong problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills
  • Nice to have : Java experience, GCP exposure, prior freelancing / startup experience
