Job Summary :
Myntra is seeking an executive-level Head - Technical Program Management (TPM) with 1520 years of total experience, including 68 years in program management leadership within high-velocity, technology-driven organizations. Based in Bangalore, this role is critical for orchestrating the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary technical programs involving large-scale platform engineering, microservices modernization, and data initiatives. The Head of TPM will be accountable for establishing architecture governance, optimizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe / Scrum) adoption, and providing executive-level technical risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Technical Program Governance :
- Drive Strategic Planning and Execution for a multi-million dollar portfolio of complex, large-scale technical programs (e.g., platform re-architecture, global integration, new marketplace launches).
- Establish and enforce architecture evaluation and trade-off analysis processes to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and aligned with long-term technological roadmaps.
- Master Risk and Dependency Management by proactively identifying, modeling, and mitigating technical blockers and inter-program dependencies across engineering domains (e.g., API, Backend, Mobile, Data Science).
Agile Framework Optimization and Delivery Excellence :
Optimize the organization's adoption of Agile and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe / Scrum / Kanban), tailoring program structures to accelerate delivery and reduce time-to-market for complex software releases.Ensure technical compliance and quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI / CD), and automated quality gates.Maintain Technical Program Management Excellence by defining clear, measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for program health and engineering velocity.Executive Communication and Leadership :
Utilize Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities to provide executive-level synthesis of complex technical problems, program health, and resource utilization.Exhibit exceptional leadership in leading, mentoring, and scaling high-performing TPM teams, contributing to their technical acumen and career development.Provide expert Stakeholder and Executive Management, utilizing strong technical depth to communicate program status, technology risks, and strategic technical trade-offs to senior leadership (CTO, VP-level).Qualifications :
Experience : 1520 years of total experience, with a mandatory 68 years in a technology program management leadership capacity.
Program Delivery : Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, multi-disciplinary, and complex technical programs (e.g., platform, data, or global systems).
Methodology : Expert-level command of Agile and Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe / Scrum / Kanban) and the ability to define robust SDLC processes.
Leadership Skills : Exceptional proficiency in leadership, communication, and executive stakeholder management.
Education (Preferred ) : Technical background (Engineering / Computer Science degree or equivalent) is strongly preferred; an MBA is a significant plus.
Preferred Skills :
Direct experience managing programs involving Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), or large-scale Cloud / SaaS migration.Certification in a Scaled Agile Framework (e.g., SAFe).Hands-on experience with tools for portfolio management, such as JIRA Align or equivalent enterprise solutions.Expertise in utilizing architecture evaluation and trade-off analysis methodologies to guide technical teams.(ref : hirist.tech)
