About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Looker Specialist to support our analytics and data engineering teams. The ideal candidate will combine deep Looker expertise with a strong understanding of data modeling and performance optimization. You will play a key role in stabilizing, optimizing, and elevating our Looker ecosystem, ensuring our business teams can access fast, reliable, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary subject-matter expert for all Looker-related needs — including troubleshooting, optimization, and best practices.
Audit and enhance existing LookML models, explores, and dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure efficient data structures and semantic layers in BigQuery.
Implement governance and version control standards across Looker assets.
Provide technical guidance and ad-hoc training to analysts and business users on Looker capabilities.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, optimizing query performance, and improving dashboard response times.

Required Skills & Experience

Advanced proficiency in Looker, including LookML development, dashboard design, and debugging.

Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including schema design and query optimization.

Strong SQL skills and deep understanding of dimensional data modeling principles.

Proven ability to work with large and complex datasets and optimize data pipelines for analytics.

Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven organization preferred.
