Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Verification Engineer to join our Autotransfusion System development team . The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background and hands-on experience in medical device verification and validation , particularly in power subsystem testing and safety compliance . This role involves comprehensive verification of electrical subsystems, including power management , fault current measurement , and interface integrity testing .
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform system-level and subsystem-level verification of Autotransfusion systems in accordance with design inputs and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601, ISO 14971).
- Conduct electrical testing of power subsystems including load, voltage, and current characterization.
- Measure and analyze fault currents , leakage currents , and ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements .
- Develop and execute verification protocols , including test procedures, test cases, and data collection sheets for electrical and mixed-signal components.
- Verify grounding , insulation resistance , and power failover behavior under simulated fault conditions.
- Use electrical test instruments such as :
- Oscilloscopes
- Power analyzers
- Multimeters
- Data loggers
- Electronic loads
- Collaborate with systems engineers , design engineers , and quality assurance to ensure requirements traceability and test coverage.
- Document and review test reports , defects , and verification summaries in accordance with design control procedures.
- Support design reviews , risk assessments , and regulatory submissions by providing objective test evidence.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Biomedical Engineering (with electrical focus), or a related field.2–5 years of experience in electrical verification and validation for medical or safety-critical systems .Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment and data acquisition tools .Knowledge of IEC 60601-1 , IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC) , and ISO 14971 standards.Experience with power system analysis , fault isolation , and current measurement techniques .Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion, DOORS) and verification documentation practices.Preferred Skills :
Experience in autotransfusion , hemodynamic monitoring , or other blood management devices .Understanding of software-hardware interface verification .Exposure to MATLAB , LabVIEW , or Python for test automation or data analysis.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to testing and documentation.
