We're looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Counsel / Commercial Counsel to join our APJ Legal team. Reporting to the Director, Lead Commercial Counsel APJ, you'll be responsible for :
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements in India, including SaaS subscriptions, reseller, MSP, DPAs, NDAs, vendor agreements, and more, with internal teams across Sales, Channels, Operations, Product, Compliance, and Procurement
- Advising on privacy, data protection, security, and IP laws in India, with external counsel as needed
- Working collaboratively with internal clients to improve and scaling all aspects of the contract negotiation process
- Advising internal teams to minimize risk while balancing business interests
- Conducting periodic employee training on any or all of the above topics
What Were Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) :
7+ years of post-qualification experience in tech licensing and commercial negotiations at a top law firm, SaaS company, or bothLaw degree from a nationally accredited law school and license to practice law or as in-house legal counsel in the jurisdiction where you are basedExtensive experience with outbound SaaS transactions, inbound vendor, channel partner, MSP, and supplier agreements, involving data protection, security, and cloud technologyExperience with privacy, data protection, and security in SaaS, including knowledge of evolving regulations and compliance frameworksDemonstrated ability to deliver results and drive alignment on complex, cross-functional projects involving various stakeholdersWhat Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) :
