Lift Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lift Engineer to install, maintain, repair, and modernize lifts, elevators, and escalators in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical systems and a strong understanding of safety protocols and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Install, maintain, service, and repair lifts / elevators and escalators as per manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.

Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing.

Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and ensure timely resolution.

Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.

Complete service reports, job cards, and maintenance records accurately.

Collaborate with other engineers and support teams when necessary.

Provide recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.

Attend training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and safety standards.

Requirements :

Education & Certification :

NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.

Valid Lift / Elevator Technician certification (where applicable).

Health & Safety certifications (e.g., CSCS, IPAF, PASMA) are a plus.

Experience :

2+ years of experience in lift / elevator installation, maintenance, or repair.

Experience working with various lift types (hydraulic, traction, MRL, etc.).

Skills :

Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
