About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer with strong expertise in WebSockets and REST API development. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in building real-time applications, scalable backend services, and integrating complex APIs. You will work closely with the product and frontend teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.

Build and manage real-time communication systems using WebSockets / Socket.IO.

Optimize API performance, scalability, and security.

Integrate third-party services, APIs, and authentication systems.

Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration.

Implement logging, monitoring, and error handling for APIs and WebSocket services.

Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in Node.js backend development.

Proven expertise in RESTful API design and WebSocket-based real-time applications.

Strong knowledge of Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.

Hands-on experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Familiarity with authentication & authorization (JWT, OAuth2, session management).

Experience with scalability, performance tuning, and security best practices.

Solid understanding of Git, CI / CD, and cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).

Nice to Have

Experience with Socket.IO, Kafka, or RabbitMQ for real-time and event-driven systems.

Exposure to GraphQL.

Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes for deployments.
