Product Development Merchandiser

O rganization :

The Product Developer within D2 International will handle the leather goods category and is responsible for sourcing, pattern cutters, craftsmen and vendor communication. From the initial development stage at proto to salesman samples and following through to production handover. You will follow up and ensure timely delivery and sample fulfilment. In this position, you will be working closely with design, vendors, sourcing team, pattern cutters and craftsmen.

Responsibilities & Key

Key Responsibilities :

• Working closely with designers, production, and vendors.
• Continuously improving the product by finding innovative production techniques.
• Keep up to date with new materials, shapes, and techniques. Fashion forward.
• Judging proto samples on technical details, measurements and workmanship.
• Communicating comments to pattern cutters, craftsmen, sourcing team and vendors.
• Also, anticipating feasibility of changes within the timeline / critical path.
• Sample progress tracking, monitoring deadlines and status
• Product and production know-how to realize best FOB prices.
