Job description

The Branch Manager is responsible for managing and developing the Branch and ensures the team meets business plan. The Manager will be responsible for overall P & L of the Branch and shall provide leadership in People Management, Process Management & Goal Establishment, Financial Management and Business development.

Job Description

  • Leadership & Strategic Orientation functions
  • Responsible for achieving the P & L goals of the assigned Branch operations.
  • Work directly with management in establishing goals within the parameters of the operations business plan.
  • Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organizational needs in the areas of functional responsibility.
  • Work collaboratively with the staff of sales, marketing, customer service, operations, IT and general office administration.

People & Organizational Development

  • Develop long-term capabilities of staff & the organisation as a whole, and finding satisfaction in influencing and transforming employees life and carrier
  • Build and manage workforce based on organisational goals, budget considerations, and staff needs. Ensure employees are appropriately recruited, selected, appraised and rewarded, take action to address performance problems.
  • Foster an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued and leveraged to achieve the vision and mission of the organisation.
  • Encourage creative tension and difference of opinions. Anticipate and take steps to prevent counter- productive confrontations. Mange and resolve conflicts and disagreements in a constructive manner.
  • Develop ability of others to perform and contribute to the organisation by providing ongoing feedback and by providing opportunities to learn through formal and informal methods.
  • Process Management

  • Understand and appropriately apply principles, procedures, requirement’s, regulations and policies related to Branch
  • Hold self and other accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost effective results.
  • Determines objectives, set priorities, and delegate work, comply with established control systems and rules.
  • Process development, implementation and continuous improvement – Meet Branch KPIs
  • Increase productivity and improve efficiency
  • Files per desk
  • Revenue per shipment ( yield as per company policy )
  • Expense per shipment.
