We're looking for a Senior Solar Design Engineer who can lead large-scale design initiatives with technical depth, precision, and leadership excellence.

Role Overview

As a Senior Solar Design Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end solar system design across portfolios ranging from 700 MW to 1 GW. You'll lead design engineering processes from concept to as-built stages—ensuring compliance, efficiency, and innovation in every detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering for utility-scale PV plants and complex C&I deployments, ensuring quality and compliance across all deliverables.
• Execute and review PVsyst-based energy yield assessments, AC / DC sizing, SLDs, earthing and protection design, cable sizing, and IFC / as-built documentation.
• Ensure full compliance with IEC / IS / IEEE standards, CEIG / CEA, and DISCOM interconnection requirements.
• Interface with multi-substation environments (AIS / GIS) and coordinate grid integration across engineering disciplines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with civil, structural, procurement, and commissioning teams to close RFIs, ensure timely approvals, and resolve technical punch lists.
• Mentor and guide mid-level and junior engineers, standardizing design templates, QA / QC processes, and best practices.
• Drive value engineering initiatives to improve Performance Ratio (PR) and Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) while maintaining full code and safety compliance.
• Manage stakeholder interactions with EPCs, OEMs, DISCOMs, and regulatory bodies, ensuring first-time-right design approvals and on-time deliverables.
