Job Title : India BISRM Risk Officer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to join our Business Information Security & Risk Management team in India. The team ensures that technology and information risks are effectively identified, assessed, controlled, managed, and reported. This role provides the opportunity to liaise with senior stakeholders, lead critical initiatives, and engage with regulatory bodies across the Asia region.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate India technology regulatory activities, reporting, negotiations, and responses, focusing on business applications or data to meet stringent local regulatory and business expansion requirements.
- Act as an advisor to technology teams on local India market regulations, firm policies & procedures, system dependencies, and best practices.
- Coordinate regulatory engagement for technology incidents and stability management.
- Build strong relationships with senior Technology, Business, and Compliance stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in technology risk.
- Manage and deliver India-specific and firm-wide technology risk change programs.
- Promote risk education and awareness, providing senior management summaries as required.
What We're Looking For
Technology professional with 10+ years of experience in Technology Risk, Information Security, Technology Development, or related fields.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in India and their applicability to technology functions within the financial services industry.Proven experience supporting trading, banking, or investment management systems.Good understanding of software development lifecycle and change management, with project management or developer / QA exposure.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills with the ability to resolve ambiguous challenges.Excellent communication skills with the ability to create high-quality written documents tailored to stakeholders.Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills with proven ability to engage across all organizational levels.Ability to manage multiple demands and shifting priorities effectively.Desired Skills
Experience in handling regulatory engagements or internal audits.Knowledge of trading, clearing, and settlement systems.Understanding of financial market regulations (SEBI, RBI, NSE, etc.) related to securities, futures, banking, or fund businesses.Hands-on technical experience (e.g., system development, integration, QA, or support).Project management or business analysis background in financial services.Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in financial services risk and security domains.Skills Required
