Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Storage & Backup Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in storage and backup technologies with proven hands-on experience in installation, configuration, monitoring, and management of enterprise-grade storage infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Manage installation, implementation, and configuration of storage & backup technologies.
Perform day-to-day monitoring, reporting, and management of large storage devices and tape libraries.
Handle administration and troubleshooting in SAN and NAS storage environments.
Develop, execute, and maintain backup and restore activity plans, including prerequisites and rollback strategies.
Utilize monitoring, reporting, and alert mechanism tools to ensure system stability and performance.
Collaborate with OEMs and vendors for issue resolution, including logging calls, following up, and ensuring closure.
Work on multi-platform environments including Windows, Linux, HP-UX, AIX, Oracle-Linux, Solaris, etc.
Apply scripting knowledge (Shell, VB, etc.) for automation and optimization tasks.
Provide support for storage platforms across HPE, Dell EMC, IBM, NetApp, Hitachi, and Sun technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum [X] years of relevant experience in Storage & Backup technologies.

Strong understanding of storage & backup concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

Hands-on experience in SAN / NAS environments and enterprise storage management.

Experience with monitoring & alerting tools.

Knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, VB, etc.) for system administration.

Basic understanding of multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix variants, Solaris).

Good communication and coordination skills for handling multiple stakeholders and OEMs.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications in Storage / Backup technologies (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, IBM, HPE).

Exposure to enterprise IT infrastructure within BFSI / Banking / Telecom / Enterprise domains.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
