Design Manager - Highways

JOB TITLE :   Design Manager - Highways

ROLE :

Motivated and experienced Road Design Engineer who can utilize his or her strong technical and project management skills to deliver highways-related infrastructure projects. As a Senior member of the high performing team, you will be given the opportunity to lead Functional teams or projects and serve as a best practice / quality resource. You will guide others in resolving complex issues in specialized area based on existing solutions and procedures. By motivating, inspiring, and holding your team to account, you will ensure solution to complex problems and bring in innovative solutions. This role will see you working with multi-discipline engineers and designers in a fast-paced environment whilst supporting a strong pipeline of existing projects, ranging in size and scope, as well as working on several major pursuits to continue the projected growth of our business.

KEY COMPETENCY – Technical Skills

• Understanding of engineering standards (DMRB / AASHTO / Australian / Middle East), codes of practice, local authorities' guidelines and offer new ideas to improve solutions and processes.
• Lead Functional teams or Projects.
• Able to author competent technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality.
• Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices.
• Develop broad technical competence and able to check work of all those in the project team.
