Description for desirable Candidates

Key Responsibilities :

The candidate can have either Educator or professional experience. He / she should demonstrate skills in :

Qualifying Criteria – PROFESSOR :

a. The candidate should be a Ph.D. with First Class (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in a Master’s Degree in concerned / relevant discipline.

AND

Minimum 10 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

AND

Minimum Research Score of 120

AND

Successfully guided at least 2 doctoral candidates.

b. Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in teaching / research / industry, of which at least 3 years shall be equivalent to Associate Professor.

OR

In the event, the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential :

1. A Ph.D. Degree with First Class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree in concerned / relevant discipline.

OR

2. A Ph.D. Degree with First Class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in two years full-time PGDM declared equivalent by AIU / recognized by the AICTE / UGC.

c. The candidate should have professional work experience which is significant and can be recognized at the national / International level as equivalent to Ph.D. and 10- 15 years’ managerial experience in the industry should be at the Senior Managerial level in a large Organization / MNC / Conglomerate.

d. Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

Qualifying Criteria – ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR :

a.The candidate should be a Ph.D. with First Class (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in Master’s Degree in concerned / relevant discipline.

AND

Minimum 7 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

AND

Minimum Research Score of 75

b. Minimum of 8 years of full-time experience in teaching / research / industry

In the event, that the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential :

c. The candidate should have professional work experience which is significant and can be recognized at the national / International level as equivalent to Ph.D. and eight years of managerial experience in the industry should be at the Senior Managerial level in a large Organization / MNC / Conglomerate.

d. Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

Qualifying Criteria – Assistant Professor :

a. A Master ‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in concerned / relevant discipline from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

OR

b. A candidate has been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 may be exempted from NET / SLET / SET.

AND

c. Minimum 2 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

d. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable :

i) Ph.D preferred with entry-level 2 years’ experience is desirable but not mandatory.

ii) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his / her Ph.D. work in conferences / seminars sponsored / funded / supported by the UGC / ICSSR / CSIR or any similar agency.

Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and a patent filed.

Pay Scales :  As per UGC guidelines; but will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
