About the Role :
We are looking for a Sr. Manager – Visual Merchandising (Retail) who will bring our brand stories to life across physical retail formats in India. This role is responsible for shaping an immersive and aspirational in-store environment that reflects the essence of FableStreet. You will lead the conceptualization, execution, and monitoring of visual merchandising strategies that elevate customer experience, strengthen storytelling, and drive commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Visual Merchandising Strategy & Planning
- Develop seasonal and brand-specific VM strategies that connect deeply with the modern Indian woman.
- Plan, execute, and refresh window displays, mannequin styling, in-store layouts, product zoning, styling stories, and focal points.
- Translate moodboards, lookbooks, and campaign concepts into impactful in-store experiences.
2. Brand Presentation & Storytelling
Ensure consistent and premium brand expression across all stores, EBOs, and pop-up formats.Build strong storytelling momentsChampion the brand’s design language through color palettes, fixtures, signage, visual cues, and styling.3. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Marketing, Design, Buying & Merchandising to ensure visual direction aligns with brand campaigns, product drops, and seasonal narratives.Collaborate with Store Operations to ensure seamless execution and maintenance of VM guidelines.Coordinate with inventory teams to ensure visual plans support availability, sell-through, and product highlight priorities.4. Data-led Visual Decision Making
Use sales data, shopper behavior insights, heatmaps, and product performance reports to optimize layouts and improve merchandising effectiveness.Identify hero products, bestsellers, and slow movers and adjust visual priorities accordingly.5. Execution, Audits & Training
Conduct regular store visits to audit VM compliance, styling standards, and execution quality.Create detailed VM guidelines, window briefs, planograms, and styling booklets for store teams.Train and mentor store staff to uphold display and styling standards across all formats.6. Launches & Projects
Lead the VM design and setup for new stores, remodels, and pop-up activations.Coordinate with external vendors, fabricators, and agencies for window installations, displays, and props.Qualifications & Requirements :
6–9 years of hands-on VM experience within fashion or lifestyle retail (multi-store / flagship experience preferred).Strong understanding of retail design, spatial planning, apparel styling, and customer flow.Ability to balance creativity with commercial impact—aesthetic presentation that also drives business outcomes.Proficiency in planning tools such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, and familiarity with layout / design tools (Photoshop / SketchUp / Figma – preferred but not mandatory).A refined aesthetic sense, strong fashion sensibility, and passion for visual storytelling.Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.Willingness to travel for store audits, launches, and VM implementation.What You Bring :
