Senior Android Developer

Job descriptionSolid experience in software development with a significant portion dedicated to Android development . Proven experience having published at least one original Android app . Strong knowledge of the Android SDK . Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON . Experience with third-party libraries and APIs . Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle . B.E / B.Tech degree. Preference for candidates from premier institutes like IIT or NIT . Candidates from startups or .com companies (e.g., Samsung, Quikr.com, Ola Cabs, Uber, etc.) are preferred.
This role is for a Senior Android Developer to design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, a passion for technology, and a proven track record of shipping original applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with external data sources and APIs .
- Conduct unit testing to ensure code robustness, usability, and general reliability.
- Focus on bug fixing and continuously improving application performance .
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
