IT Procurement Specialist

Missions / Main Duties
Reporting to the Manager IT, the IT Procurement Specialist will be primarily responsible for handling IT procurement. Your main missions will include :
- Involving appropriate stakeholders in the IT procurement decision process.
- Responding to specialized user group requirements , ensuring satisfaction with vendor selection and service.
- Researching potential vendors / suppliers and comparing and evaluating their offers to provide recommendations.
- Developing and maintaining professional business relations with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Accomplishing IT procurement business goals and objectives in a time-bound manner.
- Developing and maintaining a robust supplier base and fostering mutually beneficial strategic relations with vendors.
- Maintaining a strong emphasis on accuracy and detail .
- Handling multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.
- Being in charge of daily operational purchasing needs , such as planning, issuing, and following up on Purchase Orders, delivery, and shipment schedules.
- Reviewing the quality of purchased products .
- Entering order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases / records.
- Maintaining updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
- Preparing reports on purchases , including cost analyses.
- Submitting IT invoices in a timely manner for on-time payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum Qualification & Experience : B.Sc., BCA, or MBA in IT operations or Purchasing, with at least 4-5 years of experience in IT procurements .Technical Understanding : Solid understanding of specifications for IT hardware like Dell, Lenovo, HP laptops / desktops, servers, switches, firewalls , etc.Software Knowledge : Familiarity with construction engineering software licenses such as Autodesk, ETAP, ArcGIS, Midas, RailSys, HAP, Bentley products , etc.Communication : Good communication skills, especially fluent English speaking.Teamwork : A team player with a 'geek mindset.'Procurement Expertise : Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures .Vendor Management : Great relationship management skills and good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors), including RFI / RFQ / RFP processes.Time Management : Impeccable time-management skills.Work Ethic : Hardworking, meticulous, and with a positive attitude.Software Proficiency : Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access) and SAP .Work Environment : Able to work well under stress in a fast-paced environment.Personal Attributes : Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and independent worker.Preferred Certification
