Purpose of Position
- To carry out the Microbiological sampling and analysis of water, food and environmental samples as per the relevant national & international standards / method validations / SOPs and lab accreditation scope.
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics, the BV Group policy, NABL, BIS, and EIC and other applicable guidelines.
Major Responsibilities
Perform the microbiological sampling and sample collection across the India.To carry out the microbiological analysis after getting trained.To carry out the assigned day to day tasks such as sampling and analysis as per the work planTo assist the microbiologists in day to day work.Compile sampling data / chain of custody forms and submit the same to the customer support team t for samples booking.Timely updating all relevant technical records, registers, log books and raw data sheets. .To preserve / protect the samples integrity.To maintain the calibration , CRMs, media , critical consumables, and equipment etc as per the requirements and updating the status time to timeContribution towards maintaining the housekeeping, hygiene and safety in microbiology laboratory.Strict adherence to the procedures of microbiology laboratory cleaning and waste disposal practicesPerform the day to day activities as directed by HOD / microbiologists.Roles & Responsibilities For HSE
Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicableTo take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his / her immediate Line Managers.Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects.Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
Through understanding of Microbiology laboratory technical procedures covering the entire scope of sampling, testing and develop practical skills.Shall be punctual and shall ensure the sampling within agreed time lines.Follow HSE norms and good housekeeping in working areaMaintain the sampling records / logbooks as per quality systems guidelinesAttend all the outside sampling jobs with strict adherence to the proceduresMaintain good human relationship with the colleagues and external agenciesOne improvement / suggestion per month for the cost saving and improve productivityStorage of samples & chemicals – 100% traceability.Qualification, Experience & Technical Knowledge
B.Sc / M.Sc - Microbiology .or Microbiology as a subject in the graduation / post-graduation.Min 1 - 3 Years of experience in Food Microbiological AnalysisMust have working experience in NABL accredited lab.Skills & Qualities
